The past few weeks have been busy, we moved out of the Mologne House into an apartment and have been settling in. We also purchased systems with the money raised from the Big Kahuna Golf tournament. Dave brought on system in yesterday and we plan on handing the rest out tomorrow. Check back soon for pictures!
In the meantime, we are in the process of figuring out where Wii's for Warriors will go in the future. We will not be here much longer (hopefully) and are working out a plan for the program to continue thru the physical therapists. We should know more after a meeting tomorrow.
Thank you to everyone who has helped us be successful!

We have had an overwhelming amount of donations recently and have decided to use all that we have before accepting any more monetary donations. We have many things coming up and want to make sure we can keep up with Wii's for Warriors too.
Our church from Shreveport recently sent a very generous donation and 2 weeks ago we received proceeds from a golf tournament held in our hometown. We have lots of shopping to do!
In addition to all this we will be moving out of the Mologne House into an apartment near Walter Reed. We are working on a plan to continue Wii's for Warriors through the Occupational/ Physical Therapists at Walter Reed. More info will follow as soon as we can get it all figured out.
Look for more pictures in the next few weeks!

We have the privilege of meeting so many amazing people who come through Walter Reed and stay at the Mologne House. It's amazing how close you get to people that you may have never met unless living here. Most people here are healing from combat injuries sustained in OIF/OEF, but there are a few who find out devastating news while overseas. One friend thought he was suffering a concussion from being blown up so many times in a vehicle and it ended up being a brain tumor. This is something that families are definitely not prepared for.
I am compelled to tell the story of another amazing couple we have become friends with. Mac and his wife Donna found out a few months ago that Mac had Stage 4 cancer. He was sent to Walter Reed and found out there are numerous spots on his lungs and it has moved into 2 of his ribs. Mac just finished the 2nd round of chemo this week and is awaiting results to see if any of it is working.
They are such inspirational people, always a positive attitude. While Mac is in more pain than he is willing to show, he is up to getting out on the golf course with some of the guys. Always a smiling face and a friendly hello for all. Donna is dealing with a foot injury, but stands by her husband and is always around for those who need to talk.
They drove home for the weekend to check on the kids and the house, which is in need of roof repairs. I am hoping that someone may read this and make a donation for this amazing couple. I have started collecting donations from our friends around Walter Reed and hope to give them the gift of a new roof eventually. If you would like to donate please make a note through Paypal stating that your donation is for Mac and Donna.
Thank You to everyone out there for making this possible, so many people have been given a gift that they can actually use because of YOU!
